In view of the navigation obstruction problem in the 6.0 m channel of Dongbei waterway of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River,based on the river topography and hydrological data,the riverbed evolution characteristics and waterway conditions of Dongbei waterway are analyzed,and the countermeasures of waterway regulation in this section are also discussed.The results show that the overall waterway conditions of Dongbei waterway are good,only shallow packets appear in the river center in local years,resulting in insufficient water depth and width of the channel.In order to improve the conditions of Dongbei waterway,the waterway regulation project may consider to raise the low beach on the left side of the third continent on the basis of the construction of the northeast waterway regulation project,stabilize the mainstream flow path of the transition section,narrow the channel of the transition section appropriately,concentrate the water flow on the shallow area,or consider to adopt the dredging measures only in the locally shallow years.
