Mechanical behavior of counter-pulled sheet pile structure in Xinxia Port double-lane ship lock

    Abstract:

    In order to analyze the mechanical characteristics of counter-pulled sheet pile structure in Xinxia Port double-lane lock,we model the structure of the dual chamber ABAQUS finite element software.We simulate the double-track synchronous excavation with modified Cam-Clay model,compare and analyze the difference of the structural characteristics of counter-pulled sheet pile and single-anchor sheet pile during the construction period.During the operating period,we bring water pressure to bear on the double sheet pile,and study the global deformation characteristic of mid-partition wall and the bearing and deformation characteristics of earth among piles.The results show that the displacement of counter-pulled sheet pile is far less than that of single-anchor sheet pile,but the deformation of them are similar,and the regularities of distribution of bending moment and earth pressure are coincident with little difference.During the operating period,the main lateral displacement to low water side chamber of the wide and shallow mid-partition wall is shear deformation.The increment of earth pressure on piles is related to the distribution of net hydrostatic pressure on them,and also affected by the force passed by the upper connecting rod and the counter-force of the lateral brace in low water side.Lateral compression is produced when the earth among piles deliver and diffuse the lateral pressure,the earth among piles can share most responsibility for shear force.The bending moment of the earth among piles is mainly bear by the two piles.The existing simplified calculating method of the double sheet pile cannot yet reflect the shearing resistance of the earth among piles,and it is worth studying further.
