    Abstract:

    To counter the problem of channel revetment deformation due to swell-shrinking of expansive soil,we probe into the countermeasures.Appling a combined revetment structure,i.e.,multi-grade slope+backfill of improved soil+surface water drainage+pile foundation,to a channel engineering,we achieve the engineering effect of no deformation and no crack. It proves that such combined structure does resist swell-shrinking of expansive soil and is suitable for the key channel part with bridge or other crossing structures.
