This article analyses quantitatively the comparative advantages that the Yangtze River water transport logistics to other modes of transport in energy conservation, land saving, environmental protection,security, logistics cost, and so on. It is also to depict the effects of the water transport logistics in attracting industry gathering, and adjusting with the coast area and cities. It is also studied that the economic relation of the indexes on direct & indirect economic contributions, employment contribution which the water transport logistics dedicates to the coast area and other industry departments.
