The number of mooring lines of large vessels is determinate and hard to increase. So it is always difficult to satisfy the requirement to restrict the vessel by existing mooring lines in some hard weather. The quick release pulley which was used in a large oil wharf can strengthen the restriction to vessels without increasing the mooring lines. The quick release pulley have many other functions similar to those of quick release hooks, also it has a wide application prospect.
