This paper discusses the rationality of water layout of a project in Panama according to the characteristics of water and land areas of the project, requirements of domestic and foreign codes, and ship maneuvering experiment. The design idea may serve as a reference for the arrangement of large deepwater berth in the narrow water area in China.
