In view of the characteristics of Yakou hydro-junction in Hanjiang River,we propose the centralized layout scheme with shiplock and hydro-power station at the same bank，and the other scheme at different banks.In order to search for the best engineering program，we focus on the analysis mainly from the aspects of construction organization，navigation condition，discharge capacity and engineering investment,and demonstrate that the scheme with shiplock and hydro-power station at the same bank has obvious advantages in comparison with the other scheme in aspects such as the economic investment，convenient construction,etc.As a result,the more reasonable general layout scheme is determined.
