Shuangyu Island project by China Merchants Group is the first comprehensive urban development artificial island for tourism,residence and ecological development that is approved by the State Council.For the relatively complicated construction conditions of this region such as hydrology,topography,geology,etc.,we summarize the plane form and arrangement,influence of construction on surrounding environment,waterfront layout,standard and plan of revetment,land reclamation,impermeability of inner river,water exchange and other characteristics,and obtain standard and scheme according to a large amount of scheme comparisons,model tests and data analysis.The design idea and achievement of this project can be used as a reference for other similar projects.
