Based on the analysis of some key technological schemes of Pingtan port area including function orientation, throughput development forecast and selection of initiation project, this paper puts forward new ideas and new methods for solving key problems in the master plan of the newly developed port area, Pingtan port area,which may serve as reference for the master plan of similar projects.
