In order to improve China’s river navigation information services level, a new concept of internet of ships is presented. The main task includes primarily research the construction of internet of ships, and development consideration of each platform on the basis of analyzing the foreign advanced experiences and studying the domestic status and the current problems of river navigation information management and services. In addition, the construction principle is discussed.
