Abstract:The selection of channel width of grand canal in southern Jiangsu by comparing one-width of 80 meters with a combination width of 80 meters and 60 meters is studied. Based on the analysis of the engineering investment and the social & economic benefits, we determined the scheme of “one-width of 80 meters”, which provides a reference for the selection of the width of busy restricted channels.
