Based on the analysis of the topographic properties, coast stability, and the formation mechanism and stability of the deep channel in front of Caofeidian, and according to the results of relevant physical model tests and mathematical model tests, this paper expounds the decisive factors and results of port site selection research, based on which, the planning of Caofeidian port area of different stages are summarized.
