      Abstract:At present,there are lagging system and standard construction in inland river navigation industry,which is not conducive to the development of engineering construction and industry.This paper takes the Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project as an example,sorts out the deficiency of micro-system construction such as land use index,construction period quota and technical codes related to land requisition and immigration of inland river navigation engineering construction land,and proposes corresponding suggestions.Policy documents are promulgated as soon as possible from the policy perspective,such as Construction Land Index for Navigation Engineering,or similar policy documents of related industries are explicitly borrowed.The system and application of “first land use” are introduced in land requisition of navigation engineering construction.From the industry perspective,industry standard documents are promulgated as soon as possible,such as Construction Period Quota for Navigation Engineering,Specification for Defining the Scope of Land Acquisition for Navigation Engineering Construction,which can facilitate the management of land acquisition and immigration,and promote the efficient,healthy and sustainable development of the project and industry.

      Abstract:During the construction period of the Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project,navigation interruption is not allowed,with compact junction layout,large flood flow,and heavy flood control tasks.Additionally,the construction flow diversion adopts the phased cofferdam diversion,which is divided into three phases.According to the on-site progress,the power plant and ship lock will be constructed spontaneously in the first flood season of phase II,and the optimization design of flow diversion and flood control is particularly important for the project construction.Earth-rock cofferdam of ship lock is added in the first flood season of phase II,and flow diversion procedures of subsequent construction are optimized.The physical model and mathematical model verify that optimization design is feasible.The leading group uniformly directs flood control and formulates comprehensive flood control measures,ensuring the flood control safety of the construction project.

      Abstract:During the third phase diversion period of Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project in the Minjiang River,the ship lock arranged on the right bank will be used for temporary navigation.Due to the relatively low upstream water level,there is a large navigation risk in the entrance area and connecting section of the upstream approach channel of the lock under the condition of large flow in flood season.To ensure the navigation safety during the construction period,we carry out the numerical simulation study on the navigation conditions at the upstream of the ship lock under the lowest pool level in combination with the results of the diversion and navigation model test of the junction construction,and propose the engineering measures such as optimizing the left guide wall structure of the upper approach channel,reducing the excavation elevation of Jigongzui and filling the deep pool.The results indicate that the upstream navigation flow conditions are significantly improved,which can meet the navigation requirements during the construction period.

      Abstract:The water flow outside the ship lock is greatly affected by the unstable flow discharged from the hub.To address the adverse effects of flow velocity and flow patterns on ship navigation and maintain the flow conditions of the approach channel,this article analyzes the causes of unstable water flow in the downstream approach channel,combined with the layout and structural types of the diaphragm wall built in recent years.Through methods such as plane layout,model testing,and data statistical analysis,the impact of various structural forms such as solid wall,barrier pier and permeable hole walls on water flow conditions has been explored.Multiple types of approach channel flow separation wall structural arrangements and optimization measures are proposed.

      Abstract:The main development task of the Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project is to smooth the navigation channel of the Minjiang River.Since the ship lock is the only shipping facility at this junction and an important part of this channel,the importance of the filling and emptying system as the core component of the ship lock is self-evident.In response to the large-scale filling and emptying,and high requirements for hydraulic indicators of the ship lock,we carry out the hydraulic calculation analysis and the study of a single-body physical model test on the ship lock.The results show that it is reasonable to employ the support hole filling and emptying form of the gate wall long corridor side for the filling and emptying system design of the ship lock in the Longxikou Navigation-power Junction,which meets the design specifications.The water flow conditions and valve opening method during the filling and emptying of the ship lock chamber also meet the needs of safe ship passage.

      Abstract:Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project in Minjiang River is the fourth level of the upgrade of the waterway from Leshan to Yibin of Minjiang River,and the navigable flow condition of the approach channel of the project is an important factor to ensure the safety of heavy and large waterway transportation channels in Sichuan.This paper uses the 1100 physical hydraulic model to conduct tests and analyzes the navigable flow conditions under various navigable conditions.In view of the problem that the navigable flow conditions of the upper approach channel do not meet the requirements of the code,the paper proposes comprehensive engineering measures to improve the navigable flow conditions of the approach channel at the entrance area and increase the maximum navigable safety flow.It solves the navigation safety problem of the upper approach channel and entrance area of the junction,and the research results can provide a reference for similar projects.

      Abstract:In the Minjiang Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project,the ship lock is adjacent to the flood discharge gate,the different outer wall structural sections of the upper lock head and lock chamber lead to planar morphological mutation of the ship lock,during flood discharge,the sudden expansion area will experience severe flow patterns such as large-scale backflow and turbulence,which will affect the junction flood discharge.By establishing a planar two-dimensional mathematical model,the flow field distribution before and after the arrangement of the guide wall at the front toe of the outer wall of lock chamber is calculated,the results show that the length of the backflow is about twice the width of the sudden expansion area,and the arrangement of the guide wall according to this range could basically eliminate the backflow,the curved guide wall could make the longitudinal flow velocity contour uniformly decreasing,thus the flow patterns optimization is better.

      Abstract:Regarding the problems of stable operation,fast operation,good synchronization,and small dislocation of the closing door body of the 34 m gate of the Longxikou shiplock during the opening and closing process,this paper deeply analyzes the changing characteristics of the running resistance torque,and introduces the model and arrangement of hoist in detail.From the aspects of equipment and civil engineering,the two arrangement methods of inclined connection and vertical connection between the piston rod of hoist and the door body when the miter gate is fully open are compared,and the lock with a width of less than or equal to 16 m of the miter gate is suitable for oblique connection,and the vertical connection arrangement for the lock with the width of the miter gate greater than 16 m.The design characteristics of hoist and hydraulic control are introduced in detail.Based on the synchronous redundancy strategy,the design of hydraulic gate hoist is carried out.To realize the efficient and safe synchronization of the miter gate,two sets of displacement sensors are set up for mutual backup and mutual calibration.Through the trial operation of the Longxikou shiplock,the results are verified,and the design arrangement,selection and synchronous redundancy strategy of the hoist are reasonable and feasible.

      Abstract:In the ship lock construction of the Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project,problems may occur,such as the safety hazard of residents crossing the river,temporary navigation of the ship lock,and downstream riverbed downcutting.To address these problems,we employ a two-dimensional mathematical model to numerically simulate the downstream flow conditions of the project reach during the construction period and the navigable flow conditions of the upper approach channel of the ship lock in the first flood season of the third phase project.Combining with the specific situations of the project,we propose a temporary scheme for Xinmin passenger ferrying.The results show that the prediction data of downstream riverbed downcutting,the operation plan of the first flood season of the third phase,and the operation plan of the ship lock ensure the safety of the residents on both sides of the river during the construction period.The scheme effectively solves the influence of riverbed downcutting on the ship lock navigation,guaranteeing the unimpeded channel of the Minjiang River during the first flood season of the third phase.

      Abstract:To determine the layout of the fish inlet of the imitation ecological fishway constructed on the left bank of the Longxikou Navigation-power Junction,this paper combines the operating conditions of the hub and the existing topographic conditions,and analyzes that the water flow conditions near the fishway inlet do not meet the fish upstream requirements under many operating conditions,and certain engineering optimization measures need to be taken.For the characteristics of the Longxikou hub,typical operating conditions are selected to study the water flow conditions at the fish inlet and downstream of the hub.Based on the research findings of a two-dimensional numerical simulation model,it is planned to optimize the water flow conditions at the fishway entrance through measures such as partially removing longitudinal weirs between the power station and spillway,excavating and dredging downstream of the tailwater slope of the power station,and reconstructing habitats on the left bank.The advantages and disadvantages of different fish inlet layout options are compared and analyzed,and it is recommended to optimize the inlet and downstream flow field of the fish passage at Longxikou estuary by using a combination of habitat reconstruction and dredging,both of which can meet the flow velocity requirements of the fish passage inlet at Longxikou estuary.The results can provide technical reference for numerical simulation and fishway inlet arrangement for other similar inlet flow conditions.

      Abstract:Spur dikes,dredging,reef blasting,bank protection,and other projects are generally adopted for river channel regulation in mountainous rivers,which inevitably causes disturbance to the current water ecological environment during construction.Taking the first phase of the river channel regulation project in the lower reaches of the Minjiang River as an example,this paper conducts field monitoring of typical reaches in the whole process of construction,involving water quality,plankton,benthic animals,fish and other species,and resource quantity.It is found that the concentrations of chemical oxygen demand,five-day biochemical oxygen demand,ammonia nitrogen,total phosphorus,petroleum,and suspended matter increase after construction,but they do not exceed the limits of relevant standards.There is no significant reduction in algae,aquatic vascular plants,zooplankton,benthic animals,fish,etc.before and after the construction.Through reasonable construction avoidance in time and space,the influence of river channel regulation on the water ecological environment in mountainous rivers can be alleviated.

      Abstract:To determine the rationality and basic design parameters of the simulated natural fishway layout at Longxikou Navigation-power Junction in Minjiang River,we carry out fish resource investigation and swimming ability tests for the project river.The relationship between the size of the fishway chamber and the flow velocity inside the chamber is verified by three-dimensional numerical simulation calculations,and the hydraulic parameters such as the flow pattern and control section velocity in the fishway are studied by physical model tests.We propose the design scheme of a simulated natural fishway:1)The fishway inlet is arranged at the tailrace channel end of the power plant to lure fish by tailwater from power generation and water replenishment facilities are installed at the inlet.2)The fishway adopts a lotus root type + trapezoidal cross-section structure with transverse diaphragms inside and both the fishway and diaphragms are stacked with natural pebbles.3)A slow flow platform is set up on the left bank of the downstream river to eliminate the upstream flow velocity barrier of fish.The test results show that the diversity of flow patterns and the flow velocity inside the simulated natural fishway pool at Longxikou meets the fish passage requirements.

      Abstract:Currently,the protection of fish resources in Minjiang River is imminent.Although the traditional fishing rules and policies have improved passive fishery management,it is difficult to mobilize enterprises to take the initiative in fishery protection.The “ten-year fishing ban” provides an opportunity to promote the green cycle of fishery development.Based on the data from the Longxikou Cascade Navigation-power Junction,this paper takes “ensuring the prosperity of fish”,an important way of green ecological construction of navigation-power junctions in mountainous rivers,as the core.The paper also adopts a mixed-method approach to explore fish protection behavior in the context of vigorous hydropower development.It is found that the practice of “ensuring the prosperity of fish” can significantly improve the green ecological level of the project.The mechanism of action shows that the Longxikou Cascade Navigation-power Junction effectively enhances the sustainable use and ecological health of fish resources through mitigation measures and ecological engineering.This paper analyzes the impacts of the Longxikou Cascade Navigation-power Junction on fish resources and protection measures,so as to provide a new incentive factor for the green ecological construction of enterprises.

      Abstract:Longxikou Navigation-power Protection Embankment project protects the lives and property of the people along the coast and maintains the safe and normal operation of the Longxikou Junction project.Therefore,its construction quality is important.The traditional quality inspection and control of the rolling process of the navigation power protection embankment project uses the test pit experiment to detect the degree of compaction,and it is difficult to achieve real-time control of the whole process.In order to ensure the construction quality,this paper uses global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and artificial intelligence technology to develop a rolling process monitoring system for the Longxikou Protection Embankment Project,which realizes real-time monitoring of rolling trajectory,rolling speed,exciting force state,and number of roller passes.This paper uses the kernel extreme learning machine (ELM) algorithm optimized by the gray wolf to propose a compaction quality evaluation model and analyze the compaction quality in real time.Combined with the actual engineering,by comparing the average absolute error,root mean square error,and correlation coefficient,the accuracy of the new compaction quality evaluation model is higher than that of the traditional back propagation (BP) neural network,support vector machine (SVR),and extreme learning machine (ELM) models.

    • Construction technology of crack control for large volume concrete in ship lock engineering

      Abstract:In response to the difficult problem of temperature cracks in the pouring of large volume concrete buildings in ship locks,this paper achieved crack control of the large volume concrete at Longxikou ship lock by optimizing the construction mix design,burying cooling water pipes,controlling the interlayer thickness and intermittent time of pouring,and maintaining the surface moisture.Meanwhile,sensors are used to collect concrete temperature data to evaluate the effectiveness of the crack control measures.In practical field applications,the temperature peak of concrete after pouring is between 32.1~41.4 ℃,and the internal surface temperature difference is between 9.6~16.4 ℃,both of which are far below the requirements of temperature control indicators without visible temperature cracks.The maximum 28-day dry shrinkage of C20 test blocks formed synchronously during pouring is 228×10-6 in the same curing period and 182×10-6 in standard curing room.This indicates that the crack resistance of large volume concrete has been greatly improved during the temperature drop stage of concrete.

      Abstract:To study the rock-breaking efficiency of underwater rock drilling and blasting in Longxikou of the Minjiang River,we build a dynamic finite element model to compare the influences of the water-coupled and air-coupled medium on the blasting energy transmission efficiency.Meanwhile,we also analyze the dynamic response and energy characteristics of rock in open-pit and underwater blasting.The results indicate that the blasting energy and transmission efficiency transmitted into the rock in water-coupled powder charge conditions are greater than those in air-coupled powder charge conditions,which shows that a water-coupled medium can enhance the rock-breaking effect.In the water-coupled powder charge conditions,the water-covering conditions have no effect on the propagation of initial explosive stress waves.When the compressive stress wave is reflected from the free surface,the unit kinetic energy and internal energy of open-pit water-coupled blasting are relatively large.This indicates that the water medium in contact with the free surface in underwater blasting suppresses the rock mass movement and absorbs some of the blasting energy.Underwater blasting needs to increase the explosive unit consumption to obtain the same blasting effect as open-pit water coupling.

      Abstract:The construction of bulk concrete in ship lock projects often employs large templates.Inclined rods are often adopted for reinforcement during on-site construction,and foam agents or wrapping tapes are used for grouting control to ensure the stability of the templates and increase their safety.However,this traditional method often has the disadvantages of complicated working procedures,poor grouting control effect,and poor concrete surface appearance after demoulding.To solve these problems,we propose an elastic material grouting control pad based on the bulk concrete construction using large templates,supplemented with threaded rods at the end.The pad can effectively prevent concrete slurry leakage and reserve rod protection layer to avoid corrosion.The grouting control pad has been applied to on-site construction with sound results,which greatly improves the construction quality and efficiency,and the concrete surface appearance.Finally,the results can provide references for grouting control in similar bulk concrete construction projects.

      Abstract:As an economical and environmentally friendly dam construction material with high water-binder ratio and low cementitious material consumption,cementitious sand and gravel fill construction process is similar to that of concrete rolling construction.It has the characteristics of thicker single paving thickness and higher construction efficiency.This paper takes Wuyi Dam protection area of Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project as an example,studies the application of cementitious sand and gravel dam construction technology in the protection of super-long reservoir area,and analyzes two aspects of its mechanical properties and permeability to further expound the scientific application of cementitious sand and gravel dam construction technology in the safety protection of reservoir area.The results show that the cementitious sand and gravel dam construction technology has excellent stability and compressive resistance under the action of external forces such as water pressure in the reservoir area,and its tight structure and uniform material help to reduce the water penetration,thereby protecting the stability and safety of the reservoir interior.

      Abstract:Mixed sand is completely used in the concrete of Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project in Minjiang River,and its quality is an important part of concrete quality control.The technical requirements of mixed sand in this project should take into account the requirements of water transportation and power industry specifications,and the quality control goal of mixed sand is qualified and stable quality.This paper discusses the practical problems in the use of mixed sand and the subtle differences between the two industry codes for mixed sand.The quality control of mixed sand focuses on the production management of natural sand and artificial sand,several quality control elements of natural sand and artificial sand production in this project are proposed to control the quality of mixed sand.The concrete quality of the project is guaranteed and the practical application effect is good.

      Abstract:Aiming at the problems of large amount of concrete works,low construction efficiency of crawler type spinner + backhoe loading and large concrete loss in Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project in Minjiang River,we study the rapid warehousing technology of mass concrete in navigation-power junction project.We improve the hopper size,hopper placement form,belt structure size,use the mobile conveying device through reverse aggregate separation climbing belt,distribution vertical feed buffer arrangement,and adopt the warehousing device by means of conveying,horizontal conveyor,valvular buffer cylinder,etc,which realize the rapid and continuous warehousing for large aggregate particle concrete.

      Abstract:To solve the problem of anti-seepage effect of earth-rock cofferdam in the navigation-power junction project,this article takes Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project in Minjiang River as engineering background,and adds a sub cofferdam difference on the inner side of the cofferdam to solve the problem of cofferdam seepage.The article studies the advantages of sub cofferdam in quality,construction period,and cost by comparing the reinforcement of high-pressure jet grouting piles and water pump drainage.The practical application shows that the sub cofferdam can effectively enhance the anti-seepage of the original cofferdam.Compared with the scheme of using high-pressure jet grouting piles or water pump forced drainage on the basis of the original cofferdam,the sub cofferdam is a good choice in terms of construction difficulty and economic benefits.The research results can provide reference for similar projects in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.

      Abstract:The main construction of the Longxikou Navigation-power Junction in the Minjiang River is characterized by a tight construction period,large concrete consumption,high construction intensity,and strict temperature control requirements.The natural sand in the Minjiang River Basin has a low fineness modulus,which reaches the superfine sand standard.We study the screening system design to check the design production capacity of this system.Meanwhile,we set a three-level crushing process and design the precise blending of natural sand and machine-made sand.The environmental protection packaging is adopted in the overall system,which comprehensively reflects the progressiveness of the system design from multiple angles.Finally,the results can provide a reference for similar projects.

      Abstract:The construction technology of cementitious sand gravel is to use cementitious sand gravel as the combined structure of anti-impact and anti-seepage in cofferdam engineering to replace the structural type of traditional anti-seepage wall + block stone cladding.Aiming at the application practice of the year-round cofferdam project of the right bank lock of the second phase of the Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project in Minjiang River,the selection of raw materials and matching ratio,construction technology and method,quality control,etc.,are introduced,and the construction technology of the existing structural connections such as cemented sand gravel and concrete,high-spray impermeable wall and construction seams in the application process are mainly expounded,and the construction technology and economy are compared.The results show that the construction technology of cementitious sand gravel has the advantages of simple construction process,less process,low cost and fast construction speed.

      Abstract:Improving the appearance quality of ship lock concrete is an important topic in the construction of ship lock engineering and is also a key factor in the beautification of ship lock engineering.To solve the appearance quality problems of ship lock concrete,we adopt the combination of laboratory tests and field application to evaluate the physical properties,weather resistance,pollution resistance,and decorative effect of imitation fair-faced concrete protective materials.We summarize the quality control measures during the coating construction and verify the feasibility and superiority of the material in the ship lock engineering by taking the main project of the Longxikou ship lock in Minjiang River as an example.The results show that the proposed material has penetration,waterproofing,sealing,and aging resistance abilities,thereby improving the durability and aesthetics of ship lock concrete,which has high economic and environmental benefits.

      Abstract:To ensure the construction quality of the Longxikou Navigation-power Junction project in Minjiang River,it is of great significance to well detect bedrock quality.This paper adopts geophysical detection methods such as drilling sound waves,drilling panoramic images,and borehole deformation modulus tests to conduct geophysical testing of the bedrock during the excavation of the foundation surface.The paper reveals the wave velocity distribution,fracture development,and deformation modulus of the dam bedrock,which provides a data basis for determining the final foundation surface elevation and has positive significance for saving project investment and construction period.

      Abstract:The ship lock is composed of multiple parts,including upper and lower approach channels,upper and lower lock heads,lock chambers,and water conveyance systems.In view of the complexity of the structure composition of the ship lock and the stress situation during its operation,the construction safety and operational stability of hydraulic structures of the ship lock are important.This paper summarizes the monitoring data during the construction period of the Longxikou ship lock,combines it with the actual situation on site,and uses qualitative conventional analysis and quantitative numerical calculation to analyze the changes and development trends of various monitored physical quantities.The results show that:1) During the construction period,the seepage pressure of the ship lock base is affected by the river water outside the cofferdam,the groundwater on the bank slope,and the construction water in the foundation pit;2) the backfill pressure behind the ship lock wall is influenced by the depth of the fill and its internal moisture content;3) the internal stress and strain of concrete are mainly related to temperature control.

      Abstract:The geological conditions and operating environment of the protective embankment in the Longxikou reservoir area are complex,and how to use the original monitoring data to achieve online monitoring of its safe operation status is a key issue that needs to be urgently solved.In response to the problems of poor generalization and low accuracy in traditional monitoring models for monitoring sequences with strong nonlinear features,a long short-term memory (LSTM) online deformation monitoring model for the protective embankment based on LSTM algorithm is built,with water level,temperature,and time as inputs and deformation as outputs.By comparing and analyzing the influence of different model parameters on the accuracy,the multi-parameter sensitivity law of learning rate>block size>maximum number of iterations>number of hidden layer units is revealed,and the recommended values of relevant parameters are proposed.Engineering applications show that the model has high accuracy,strong applicability,and stability.

      Abstract:To strengthen the safety management of construction site and intelligently detect the helmets worn by workers,this paper proposes an intelligent video monitoring system for navigation and power project based on object detection,which consists of object detection module and network communication module,deployed according to the C/S architecture,and successfully applied to the construction site of navigation and power hub project on Minjiang River.The object detection module uses advanced object detection algorithm to extract,classify and locate the features of safety belts and helmets in the image through convolutional neural network,and thus complete the recognition of safety belts and helmets.The network communication module connects the video capture terminal,server and video player terminal through the network to complete the image capture,transmission and display functions.The test of each component of the system shows that the system has complete functions and the modules are well connected.It can complete the real-time image acquisition,transmission,detection and display functions of each scene in the process of project construction,providing a solid foundation for the safety management of Longxikou navigation and power project construction.
