      Abstract:Wave spectrum is the basis of coastal engineering design.The spectral properties of different sea areas and period waves are different.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the wave spectrum for the measured sea waves.In this paper,the wave spectrum is analyzed based on Indonesia coastal wave data,therefore the relationship between spectral parameters and the statistical characteristic wave parameters are given.The measured wave spectrum is fitted according to the type of JONSWAP spectrum,and the formula of the wave spectrum applicable to the sea area is obtained,which can provide an important reference for engineering design.

      Abstract:For the economic rationality of pile foundation design under complex geological conditions,such as exposed rock,shallow covering layer,karst development and deep layer of riprap,we present the design points of pile foundation under complex geological conditions through the analysis and research on the physical and mechanical properties of rocks combined with successful engineering cases.At the same time,due to the need of stable pile,sinking pile and subsequent treatment,the whole pile structure is adopted in the wharf.In order to meet the requirement of normal use,we put forward the effective measures to reduce the horizontal displacement of the wharf.The engineering example of this paper is guiding significance for the design of high pile wharf under similar complicated conditions.

      Abstract:A fully automated container port is to be built in Venice offshore,Italy.One of the key technologies of the project is to select a proper structural type for the wharves to resist the action of deep and highly compressible soil and peat layers.The paper compares the differences of 3 structures,i.e. the high-piled wharf+ combined pile platform connecting shore structure,gravity caisson structure,full pile-supported beam and slab (high-piled jetty + high-piled yard)structure,analyzes them by the finite element analysis software,and proposes the structural type of full pile-supported beam,which is suitable for the geologic condition and can meet the application requirement due to its mature technology,little risks and low cost.

      Abstract:The southern No.2 liquefied chemical terminal in Gulei operation area of Gulei Port,Xiamen City is a large-scale complex liquefied dangerous cargo terminal integrating the large-scale shipbuilding,diversification of ship types,and diversification of loading and unloading functions.With L-shape layout,it achieved the intensive exploration of shoreline resources.Using a new type of steel pipe hanger arch bridge structure and three-dimensional π-shaped compensator,it saved the engineering investment.Using floating type anti-collision facilities,it solved the collision problems of trestle bridge in the deep water area.

      Abstract:Aiming at the characteristics of regulating structures in the 12.5 m deep-water channel project (phase II) at Luochengzhou section in the Yangtze River below Nanjing,we adopt a new type of inverted T-shaped member mixed dam to replace the riprap slope dam at the dam height from 3.0 m to 6.5 m section.We analyze the stability of the structure under the action of wave and current by theoretical analysis using the flow force across dam crest and Goda formula.We also use the three dimensional physical model test to verify the stability of the mixed dam structure under the combined action of wave and current,and the result is judged as stable.The new type of inverted T-shaped member mixed dam reduces the amount of block stone,which is beneficial to ease the difficulty of supply of stones and adapt to environmental protection requirements,while it can reduce the construction time on water and accelerate the construction progress.The structure has successfully applied for utility model structure patents,which can provide guidance and reference for similar projects.

      Abstract:Based on second line ship lock of Mengtze junction in Beijiang River of Guangdong Province,to solve the problems of backfilling,large amount of excavation and large internal force of ground wall cofferdam construction platform,a new type of wall cofferdam structure is proposed and adopted in the lower part of the wall and upper retaining wall,which effectively reduces the backfill,excavation and internal force of the construction platform.Using conventional monolithic or separate lock head makes,the amount of excavation and concrete is large,and water seal is complicated and poor reliability .In order to solve this problem,a new type of integral gate head structure is proposed and adopted,through which water seal is simple and reliable,and effectively reduces the amount of excavation and the amount of concrete used.As the low construction accuracy of piles inserted plate wall,it’ s difficult to guarantee the flapper can be installed successfully.Adopting the idea of active-compensation,steel sleeve was set outside the steel casing,and reasonable gaps were reserved. A new type of piles inserted plate wall was used to ensure the success installation of flapper.

      Abstract:The analysis of overall stability for the restricted channel bank slope has some problems,such as the complexity of internal force,the variety of calculation methods,and the difficulty in quantifying the anti-sliding effect by pile and soil interaction.Based on the project practice for anti-slide piles analyzing in the project of the Changhushen line channel expansioning (Zhejiang section),we summarize a simple calculation method for anti-slide piles in the overall slope stability by establishing multiple sets of model data for the typical bank protection section.We also compare the force analysis,summarize the various failure modes of anti-sliding piles in the overall slope stability for the restricted channel bank slope,and analyze the position and characteristics of the most unfavorable slope circle formation and the reference of the relevant results in the theoretical study of anti-sliding piles.Finally,we obtain the effective inner force due to pile and soil interaction in the anti-sliding process.

      Abstract:3D geological modeling is the key to realizing BIM dynamic design of geotechnical survey,and how to establish a 3D geological model that can be applied directly to guide design and construction is a one of the difficult points in the engineering practice.Taking Xiamen second east-tunnel project geological investigation for example,based on the field surveying topographic data and the geological data of drilling and geophysical prospecting,etc.,and using the surface feature of Civil 3D,we create the terrain surface and formation surface at first,and then pick entities through the surfaces to create the final 3D geological model layer by layer.In addition,through the secondary development technology,we establish the arbitrary cut-off supplementary module based on Civil 3D to realize arbitrary sectioning of the geological model and generation of the grid diagram.Moreover,the trench excavation design of the immersed tube tunnel is performed through the component editor.The engineering application results show that the modeling method is convenient,intuitive and efficient,and the resulting model can be directly applied to guide engineering design and construction.

      Abstract:The 3D design and BIM design of wharf and waterway engineering need more precise,visual and fully covered three-dimensional ground model.We collect high precision measurement point cloud data by using multi-beam bathymetric technology,UAV aerial survey technology and 3D laser scanning technology.Based on the software of AutoCAD and Civil 3D,we establish a high-precision and intuitive 3D terrain model for demonstrating,and analyze it with engineering examples.The results show that the solution of three-dimensional measurement and internal and external technical solution from land to water of local key construction is reasonable and effective.It can meet the requirements of 3D design and BIM design,and it has high application value and reference value.

      Abstract:Based on the Chinese standard JTS 133—2013 Geotechnical Investigation on Port and Waterway Engineering,we compare it with BS EN 1997-2:2007 Eurocode 7-Geotechnical design-Part 2:Ground Investigation and Testing and the main geotechnical standards in ASTM.It is the first time that a Chinese geotechnical investigation on port and waterway engineering standards is campared with those of Europe and the USA.The comparison not only involve the core content,but also the main processes in geotechnical investigation including geotechnical classification of rock and soil,planning of ground investigations,drilling and sampling,in-situ testing,laboratory tests and ground investigation report.The achievements can provide reference for colleagues.

      Abstract:In view of the problem of the projection distortion and precision requirement when establishing horizontal control network of large area and high altitude project,this paper analyzes and discusses the projection distortion and elevation projection plane based on the Lancang-Mekong River channel project.Finally we select the method of arbitrary zone Gauss-Krueger projection with elevation projection plane,and adopt the multiple projection zones and multiple projection planes scheme to establish the coordinate system.It is proved that this coordinate system can effectively solve the problem of projection deformation and meet the requirements of project precision,provide a technical reference for similar large-span and large-height surveying and mapping projects.

      Abstract:Associate with geotechnical engineering problems such as materials classification incompletion,drilling inefficiency,in-situ tests and geophysical methods insufficiency,laboratory soil tests inapplicability and the physical mechanical properties evaluation indicators system establishing,we explore geotechnical engineering investigation technology for atoll cross-sea bridge construction in this paper.Based on an engineering example,we prove that the conventional geotechnical engineering investigation methods play a low efficiency roll during atoll investigations.Finally we summarize that further study for coral reefs geotechnical properties(such as geotechnical environment characteristics,power engineering environmemt,rock and soil composition & description,basic physical mechanics properties,particle breaking characteristics and geotechnical engineering evaluation,etc.) needs to be done,and new investigation technology(such as boring & sampling,geophysical prospecting,in-situ tests and laboratory tests,etc.) for atoll needs to be invented.

      Abstract:Based on the geotechnical engineering investigation for the Navigation Channel Improvement Project on the Lancang-Mekong River (Phase II) about 631 km from China-Myanmar boundary tablet 243 to Luang Prabang,Laos by comprehensive means,we probe into the geotechnical engineering conditions from the geological structure topography,landform and their characteristics of rise or fall,stratum lithology and bad geological process,classify the hazardous rapids according to the geotechnical engineering conditions,conclude the geotechnical engineering conditions for bedrock hazardous rapids,estuary rushing rapids and shallow rapids,and put forward suggestions on rapids improvement from the views of geotechnical engineering.

      Abstract:In view of the prominent problems such as the development of extremely soft rock and deep pebble layer and the influence of groundwater on the Xiba anchorage area of Miaozui Yangtze River Bridge in Yichang,the geotechnical characteristics and hydrogeological characteristics of the rock and soil layers in the anchorage area are mainly discussed from the perspective of engineering geology and hydrogeology.Engineering geological comprehensive evaluation method is adopted to obtain that the extremely soft rock encounters water softening easily lead to trench wall collapse,the formation of trench in deep pebble layer is difficult and can lead to tilting of the trench section,groundwater seepage destruction can cause piping,which can affect the stability of the trench.Reinforcement measures and construction techniques for the trench of the earth wall and suggested measures for dewatering the foundation pit are proposed,which provided a reliable basis for optimizing the foundation pit construction plan and could be used as a reference for similar projects.

      Abstract:Urban water governance has experienced several stages:pipe-end treatment,comprehensive treatment and system treatment.In order to meet the new environmental governance requirements of “clean water,green shore,beautiful scenery and excellent city”,the concept of functional governance is proposed on the basis of the above governance mode,whose advantage lies in the combination of traditional river and lake pollution control with urban development and the needs of citizens,so as to transform environmental management from ecological to human culture.This mode has been fully applied in the Shahe river project in Yichang.Results show that for urban water,to restore the river corresponding urban functions as the objective function of the governance mode is relatively simple to water quality of the physical and chemical indicators for the traditional mode of governance objectives have significant advantages.

      Abstract:In the comprehensive treatment of black and odorous water,dredging is an effective method to eliminate endogenous pollution.Reasonable determination of dredging depth is the first question to eliminate endogenous pollution.Through the visual stratification method,the content analysis method and the release experiment method,we analyze the pollutant content and release amount of Shahe River sediment.Finally,determine the excessive heavy metal pollution or TN content is 1,500 mgkg or TP content is 500 mgkg as the limit of sediment dredging control indicators.According to this standard, we determine that the thickness of the dredging is from 0.3 to 4.4 m.The total dredging of the sediment is about 371,700 m3,which can remove TN 1,848.75 t and TP 825.62 t,and effectively remove the endogenous pollution.It will provide better internal conditions for the ecological restoration of water body in the late Shahe River.

      Abstract:Dubai Hassyan power station jetty and GRP intake and outfall pipeline EPC project,lies in Jebel Ali Wildlife Sanctuary(JAWS),and Dubai Government raises a very high and unique environmental protection standard for construction within this sensitive ecological area.The environmental protection commitment that could satisfy Dubai Government is one of key pre-conditions that decides whether the permission to start the project was granted.The following questions are explained:in the case that there is no similar experience around the project territory for reference,from the project survey and design to the construction phase,we actively explore and solve the problems of the various environmental and ecological protection,and ultimately obtain CEMP related environmental protection documents of approval from the local government.And how we implement the environmental protection measures required by the Dubai government before and during the construction of the project.

      Abstract:Fuyang river system comprehensive control project includes Yinghe River Fenghuang wetland construction,in which emergent plants and submerged plants are arranged at Yinghe riverside beaches,forming the vegetation form of side beach vegetation.According to the analytical solutions for the velocity distribution of the double-layer vegetation at the beach simulating aquatic plants and submerged plants respectively which are verified by lab data,we find out the velocity distribution of the Yinghe river Fenghuang wetland.Combining with the results of velocity distribution,we verify the anti-scour design of the project and provide a method of beach vegetation flow of the ecological wetland design project.

      Abstract:In view of the problem of water pollution in Shahe River,we analyze the surrounding pollution sources of Shahe River.The main sources of pollution are 24 drainage outlets along the coast,tail water of sewage treatment plant,surface runoff and the release of contaminated sediment.Based on the distribution characteristics of the Shahe River pollutant,we put forward some measures such as controlling the pollution of the source and removing the pollution,improving the standards of the pollution treatment,removing the endogenous pollutions,restoring the ecosystem,diverting water and so on to reduce the pollution and repair the water ecosystem.After the implementation of the project,the black and odorous water of Shahe River has been recently eliminated,and the long-term main indexes reach the standard of surface water IV.
