Abstract:The straight reach of the Yangtze estuary is the only way to extend the 12.5 m deepwater channel downstream Nanjing reach of the Yangtze River.The implementation of the Luocheng shoal defending project will lay the foundation for the overall governance programs.On the basis of comprehensive analysis of riverbed evolution characteristics and program effectiveness,we optimize the project layout using the physical model,the mathematical model,as well as the local generalized three-dimensional physical model test and work out the optimized recommendation.The research shows that the implementation of the optimized scheme will be beneficial to maintain the good beach groove pattern on the upper channel of the straight reach of the Yangtze estuary,and control the adverse trends of Luocheng shoal head and the right branch development.The project can achieve the goal of the defending project.The local scour of the project is small,the project is easy to connect with the later scheme,and the 12.5 m deepwater channel’s overall project management improves the channel condition of the straight reach of the Yangtze estuary considerably.The optimized plane scheme of the project is reasonable,which can provide a reference for the engineering design of Luocheng shoal defending project.The effect after implementation of the project shows that this project is good to protect the head of Luocheng shoal,and has curbed the negative trend of erosion.

Abstract:A 2D numerical flow model based on the latest dry season topography is established after analyzing the flow and sediment characteristics and the deepwater navigation channel condition of the Hechangzhou waterway.The increase of the diversion ratio and the velocity in the right branch which represents the effects of many engineering measures from different regulation schemes are calculated.According to the results,the regulation effects and advantages/disadvantages of different regulation measures are compared.Finally,this paper clarifies that constructing two submerged dikes located at the upper section of the right branch should be the leading idea to regulate the Hechangzhou waterway channel.The conclusion can be the reference for construction of 12.5 m deepwater channel.

Abstract:Taking a systematic physical model experiment under irregular wave,we analyze the factors such as the relative immersed depth of the piled baffle(t/d),relative water depth(d/Hs),relative height of the piled baffle(Δt/Hs),relative width(B/Ls)and wave steepness(Hs/Ls),which impact the wave transmission coefficient.The formula for calculating the wave transmission coefficient is achieved on the basis of the theory formula of lapa.Its calculation results are compared with experimental records,which has a great referential value for the research and design of the piled baffle permeable breakwater.

Abstract:Submarine pipelines are often constructed for the submarine oil & gas transport,offshore deepwater blowdown and the water intake and outlet of coastal power plant,etc.The deformation and destabilization of seabed induced by the wave,tide and other hydrodynamic factors is one of the key problems in the design of submarine pipelines.The integrated density of large-diameter pipes is often less than the natural silt density,and the pipes buried by the original silt may occur floating.Under the action of the wave,liquefaction of the overburden soil and floating of pipelines may occur,which lead to accidents.By studying the changing law and scope of the backfill’s density,and the liquefied law of sandy soil,we analyze the risk of pipeline’s floating in the specific project.

Abstract:Perforating on armoring concrete slabs can increase the permeating coefficient of the armoring layer,reduce the uplift forces and enhance the overall stability.A series of experimental tests on irregular waves are carried out to analyze the influential factors on the value of the relative net uplift forces of the armoring concrete slabs with different porosities.The calculation formula of the maximum relative net uplift forces is deduced,which is then compared with the previous formula.

Abstract:Based on temperature stress testing,we study the temperature variation,volume deformation properties and stress of different mix proportion,and analyze the effect of the amount of cement,cement proportion,slurry ratio on the crack resistance of concrete.Using the temperature difference of fracture,temperature shrinkage coefficient and cracking safety coefficient,we evaluate the crack resistance of concrete and choose the mix proportion with the best anti-cracking performance,which is applied to he construction of immersed tube precasting in Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge project.

Abstract:The grain breakage and shear strength of shell sand are studied systematically.Based on the innovation of former grain size distribution curve,a new curve of relative grain size distribution curve is put forward,which reflects directly the change of the grain content in one grain size in the process of grain’s breakage and shows the degree of particle’s breaking briefly.Moreover,the triaxial compression consolidated undrained (CU) tests and drained (CD)tests are analyzed systemically.It points out that the cohesion has more effect on the grain’s breakage than the internal friction angle in the process of grain’s breakage,whereas the internal friction angle takes the initiative to peak stress in the process of strain-stress.When the relative density and confining pressure phase are equal during the test,the peak stress of CD is higher than CU.

Abstract:The paper demonstrates that the distribution law of ships to port obeys the binomial distribution by mathematical statistics,the mathematical and physical meanings are clear,and afford to the objective law.The binomial distribution matches the truth.The Poisson distribution is a similar method of the binomial distribution.This paper validates the similarity of the two distributions by examples,expounds the feature of Poisson distribution,and points out the condition of using Poisson distribution instead of the binomial distribution by comparing the two calculation methods.This paper also establishes the discriminant of the rational number of berths,introduces the method and step of calculation of reasonable number of berths by the queuing theory,and applies them to practical cases.

Abstract:Based on the sectional and overall model test,we carry out a research on the wave overtopping and drainage system of vertical wharf and make comparative analysis of the significant wave height,wave overtopping and drainage system,the results of which show that general measurement results of the sectional model test are larger than those of the overall model test,and the sectional model test has limitations while the overall model test tallies better with the actual situation.According to results of the overall model test,we analyze the influence of relative guard curbs freeboard and wave incident direction on the wave overtopping,and the control of wave overtopping on the drainage system,and propose the optimization scheme,which may serve as reference for the engineering design.

Abstract:The statistical characteristics of load and resistance of gravity quay against sliding and overturning with wave force are investigated.And simplified expressions in which the parameters are determined based on the reliability outcome of 10 block quays and 46 caisson quays using JC method are proposed.It indicates that the wave force has a strong influence on reliability of the gravity quay.In the case of same type of gravity quay and same back filler,the bias and variation coefficients of the load and resistance for sliding and overturning can be regarded as constants.The results of reliability index obtained by simplified expressions are very close to the results obtained by JC method.

Abstract:The aim of this study is to determine the maximum number of berths in some sea area under the condition of ensuring navigation safety and service level,namely the capacity of yacht docks.Firstly,the number of yacht that some sea area can simultaneously accommodate,namely the capacity of sea area,is calculated by establishing mathematical models.Then the capacity of yacht docks is calculated according to the proportion of trip of yachts.This study establishes two models to calculate the capacity of sea area:1) safety distance model based on navigation safety,which is proposed by mathematical analysis;2) computer simulation model based on analysis of service level.The capacity of yacht docks at Daya bay,in the city of Huizhou,is calculated as a case,based on both safety distance model and computer simulation model.This study proposes theoretical model to analyze capacity of yacht docks and provides guidance for the planning and design of yacht harbor.

Abstract:Combining with the design bidding Phase 1 of Yangtze River downsteam from Nanjing 12.5 m Deep-water Navigation Project,we propose a new structure of triangular caisson and its design method.The study on the new structure indicates that such a triangular caisson can significantly enhance the stability against overturning and sliding and also reduce the foundation pressure if the angle between the side plate and horizontal plane is no more than 60 degrees.Such a structure has not only the advantages of mound breakwater,such as no standing wave effect,little wave pressure,foundation pressure and less restrictive requirements for the ground bearing capacity,but also those of gravity structures,namely the usage of fewer rocks and high efficiency of installing prefabricated components.To sum up,the new structure of triangular caisson can be applied to breakwater,sand-control dam and regulating structures,etc.

Abstract:Due to the scale effect between the model and prototype of ship lock,the huge dimension and the new type energy dissipation measures of the Guiping second lane lock,for knowing the actual hydraulic characteristics and guaranteeing the safety and efficiency of the lock,by prototype observation and full scale ship test,we observe and analyze the hydraulic characteristics,ship berthing conditions and also the interaction effect between the first and second lane lock.The results indicate that:under the current operation mode,each hydraulic characteristics of the second lane lock can basically satisfy the demands of the standards and design,but there will be some influences on the gate of the first lane lock when the second lane lock is emptying.More concerns shall be given to the influence of the overshooting on the ship’s berthing safety.

Abstract:Minjiang hydropower station dam water treatment project is the low dam without gate.So it can not control the flood and regulate location of discharge.Whether the level of the upstream flow is large or not,it will bring great impact to the navigation conditions of downstream approach channel .Based on the features of water movement and siltation problems,utilize principles of hydraulics and sediment movement theory,create some technical methods such as isolating water and cutting off path of sediment flow.By subjoining cut-off wall and sediment sill as well as optimizing the layout of dolphins,the flow conditions within the approach channel are changed better and also effectively prevent silting.Model test results show that the navigable index such as depth and flow rate in approach channel all can meet the regulatory requirements.The methods which presented in this paper can provide a reference for similar projects.

Abstract:Taking the third line and the fourth line ship locks of Changzhou hydro-junction for example,this article presents a new navigation wall structure suitable for site conditions limited,namely the composite structure of elevated pile caps and prestressed anchor.This structure improves effectively the condition of the pile foundation internal forces and controls the deformation of the structure through jointing actions of elevated pile caps with the prestressed anchor.When the site conditions are limited,using loads are large and common structures are not appropriate.

Abstract:The uplift pressure is one of the main factors that influence the stability of underground structures.For the calculation of uplift pressure on clay foundation,traditional method considers that the uplift pressure works on the whole area of the base.It does not give considerations of pressure decreasing caused by the close contact between clay particles and the base.Through detailed analysis,the present article considers that:for clay foundation,the concept of effective sectional void ratio can be introduced.Hence,the value of uplift pressure is smaller than those calculated by traditional methods,which can save the investment of the projects under the circumstance of safety.

Abstract:Sandy soil productivity calculations require more complex delivery process,which involves the characteristics of pumps,piping layout information,driving power,natural soil density,settling velocity of flow,and often difficult to accurately obtain some amount.Based on the transportation principle of slurry pipeline,we analyze the restrictions of hydraulic dredger medium sand dredging productivity,and obtain the specific relationship between the particle size and productivity of hydraulic dredgers transportation under the system’s limitations of load and discharge pressure.According to the quantitative relationship,in cases of some sandy soil particle known,the productivity of other sand particle size can be obtained directly without needing complex calculations.This method can provide a reference for the forecast of the dredging project’s production and revision of the dredging norm.

Abstract:In order to solve problems in shipping technology of large-scale caisson,we design the hydraulic-push lifting and motor-driven bogie YDTC4600 and analyze the horizontal driving system and hydraulic-push lifting system for it.The results show that the horizontal driving system and hydraulic-push lifting system of YDTC4600 can meet the requirements of the force carrying 4 600 t large-scale caisson.The design of motor-driven bogie YDTC4600 is reasonable and safe and it may serve as reference for further research and development of similar bogies.
