Abstract:The article analyses the flow and sediment characteristics in tongzhou beach,channel depth conditions and channel changes.From the river regime change and the change of riverbed erosion and deposition beach trough,the article analyses the reason of deepwater channel obstruction in Tongzhou reach.The research shows that because of the channel widening,bottomland instability,flow separation and separation of ebb and flow tide direction in Tongzhou beach,it leads to unstable regime instability and beach trough.First of all,channel widening,bottomland shunt lead to flow concentration and deep channel silting-up in transition section leads to impeding navigation.Secondly,channel widening,mainstream swing,point bar silting up and char movement leads to the shortage of channel depth.Besides that,bar-beach transition,main channel variation accordingly,and beach-trough instability lead to navigation channel instability.Keeping the activity bottomland in Tongzhou sand beach stable is the key to river regime stability and waterway regulation.

Abstract:The Foreman prediction model is a common method applied to predict the tidal level of tidal stations which only have high and low water observations.But in the situation of different combination of tidal constituents,the dithering phenomenon will appear between the high and low tide,which increases false high or low tides,exerting dominant negative effects on predicting the times and heights of high and low water accurately and reducing the overall prediction accuracy of astronomical tide.Based on the characteristics (which include that first derivative at the point of each high and low tide is zero,the curve of which is convex at the high tide position and concave at the low) of astronomical tide curve of a certain tide station,an optimizing conformal tidal harmonic analysis model is established by the method of a piecewise polynomial interpolation,with only high and low water observations.This model,combined with the high and low tide data at Lianyungang station in Jiangsu province and Gaoqiao station in Shanghai,correspondingly contributes to the establishment of optimizing conformal tidal harmonic analysis model.The calculation results show that compared with the Foreman prediction model,the new model has great advantages of predicting the times and the heights of high and low tide.

Abstract:The forms and characteristics of the corroded beams are analyzed through flexural capacity test for corroded beams.According to test results and corrosion rate calculation method obtainded by the authors,calculation method of flexural capacity for corroded beams,as well as dangerous section prediction method is established.Campared to existing research results,adequate accuracy and practicability of this method can provide reference for residual flexural capacity and dangerous section prediction of corroded beams.

Abstract:The 2-D tide control formula is resolved by Galerkin weighted margin method of finite element number,and the 2-D finite element mathematic model is founded and applied to Haian bay which is characterized by relative small calculation area and complicated boundary.The calculation result of tide numerical simulation for Haian bay is as follows:the numerical value and course of calculation’s water level and fluid velocity are accordant with the actual situation,the trend of fluid field is coincident to the past research,the new model uses different nonstructural grids,which has stronger adaptability to the complex engineering area and boundary comparing to that by the former model.As for the engineering problems of the small calculation area and complex boundary,the research result proves that the calculation precision can be improved by the tide control formula of finite element numerical dispersing equation.

Abstract:Based on the structure of sloping submerged breakwaters under the wave load,and from the point of velocity potential function and momentum principle,a simplified calculation method for solving wave forces of sloping submerged breakwaters under wave load is analyzed,and the detailed calculating method and steps are presented.Moreover,the comparing analysis between the calculation result of the simplified calculation method and the results of the fluent analyzed method is carried out.The outcome shows that the simplified calculation method is an exact and valid method.

Abstract:This paper studies the wave distribution of Jiangsu sea with SWAN wave model,which was driven by the wind filed from 1991 to 2011.Firstly,the tidal level is simulated by Delft 3D flow model.Then,the wave parameters of Jiangsu sea are computed.Lastly,the wave condition of Jiangsu sea area is analyzed.The result shows that:the annual average wave height becomes smaller from southeast to northwest.The largest annually average wave height is around 1.5 m.Most waves come from direction NE and SE,and the strong wave direction is NE.The wave height in winter is larger than that in other seasons.

Abstract:The Pearl River Estuary is one of the world’s most complex estuaries and the overall flow simulation is more difficult.This paper describes the development of the Pearl River River estuary,the overall trend of a 2-D coupled mathematical model,and large overall tidal model.The two technologies complement each other and better solves the whole estuarine tidal motion simulation problems.Taking the untra-large river-crossing engineering,the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge for example,this paper introduces the application of the two models.Introducing the aperture coefficient to control the engineering of complex boundary flow in the mathematical model,we achieve a good simulation effect.

Abstract:Under the background of global climate change,it often appears the destruction of coastal structures caused by extreme waves.It is necessary to use the large-scale wave flume to reappear the destruction process,research the breaking mechanism,explain the sediment starting and movement under wind waves and analyze the coupling effect of the structure and foundation under big wave actions.The large-scale wave flume could break through the limitation of the scale effect.The wave generator of new wave flume is the most important equipment.According to the analysis of wave characteristics and requirement of the application,we obtain the design parameters for the wave generator.The wave flume designed and being under construction is 450 m long,5 m wide,and 8 to 12 m deep.It will be the largest-scale wave flume with the strongest wave power in the world,and the design wave height would be 3.5 m.

Abstract:The sacrificial anode cathodic protection system of steel pipe piles of a wharf in Yangshan port has been used for more than ten years.The sacrificial anode protection effect is evaluated and analyzed by measuring the protection potentials,detecting anti-corrosion effect of the sacrificial anode protection system,and calculating the survival service life of the anodes.The results show that steel pipe piles in Yangshan port phaseⅠproject have been protected effectively in past ten years,and the cathodic protection system is running well.The remaining sacrificial anode life could not meet design life requirements because of serious scouring due to rush water and large sediment concentration.

Abstract:By simulating the sulfate corrosion condition of concrete structure widely used in hydraulic projects and water transportation engineering,we study the compressive strength and wear-resisting property of self-compacting concrete based on the tests.We also analyze the internal mechanism of performance changes of self-compacting concrete by pore structure analysis method.The results show that its pore structure is greatly improved.Therefore,the self-compacting concrete has good durability in sulfate erosion condition.

Abstract:After analyzing 3D visualization system for the digital port based on Vega Prime,we propose the architecture design of system and scene graphics database optimization and management.Concerning the confliction between getting better visualization of 3D reconstruction and system efficiency,we present some key methods,including dynamic data schedule,dynamic LOD (Levels of Detail),as well as optimization for real-time soft shadows.A decent balance between the system fluency and high simulation can be achieved by these techniques,as shown by experimental results.

Abstract:The karst areas distribute widely in south China,where karsts caves form easily and the geologic condition is unfavorable for the construction of the wharf.Based on the practical project,we demonstrate the technological feasibility for the construction of gravity quay under this kind of geologic condition by special methods including the single-beam-model and the Protodyakonov’s theory,and put forward suggestions for the initial stage work such as geologic survey,which may serve as reference for similar projects.

Abstract:Due to the complex water and sediment movement in muddy coast, we need to arrange the wrap-around breakwater when constructing a port.Taking a coal-fired power plant in a similar area for example, according to the ship maneuvering simulation test and wave, tidal current, sediment and warm water discharge mathematical model test results, we demonstrate the importance of the wrap-around breakwater for preventing wave and sand, improving the anchor stablility in the harbor, reducing sedimentdeposit and controlling warm water discharge.

Abstract:In the existing model of the Yangtze River estuary section,through movable bed model experiment,the influences on 12.5 m deepwater channel phase I project of Tongzhou shoal west channel regulation project are studied.After implementing the west channel regulation project,the -8 m excavation scheme and no excavation scheme are both good for the maintenance of deepwater channel depth,but Tongzhou shoal beach ditches on the left side of the deepwater channel are eroded.With the increase of the excavation depth,the impacts on the deepwater channel increase gradually.When the excavation is to -12 m or -14.7 m,the influences reach Yingchuangang,but beach ditches are slightly deposited,which are favorable for the stability of the sand body.This study proposes that the excavation depth should not be too large,and the downstream extension engineering of Tongzhou shoal submerged breakwater should be implemented as soon as possible.

Abstract:Based on the historical bathymetry data of the south channel of the Yangtze River estuary,and water depth of the fixed cross-sections for four times every year since 1998,we analyze the process of formation,development and erosion process for Ruifengsha,focusing on the influence of Ruifengsha’s change on the channel volume,wetted cross-sectional area,and cross-sectional shape at the south channel during recent decade.The results show that: 1)In recent years,the upper part of Ruifengsha has been in the stable status,and the lower part has gradually disappeared,which is caused by human engineering and disordered sand excavation.2)Ruifengsha’s changes have significant impacts on the south channel.There is an inseparable relationship between Ruifengsha’s changes and the phenomena such as the cross-sectional area keeps unchanged at the upstream,and it obviously decreases at the downstream of the south channel,the channel volume constantly increases,the deep channel deposits,becomes shallow,and turns to shore.3)We should take positive measures to diminish unfavorable influences.

Abstract:Aiming at discussing the time-varying characteristics of massive concrete in the construction period,we use Genetic Algorithm to inverse the parameters and achieves optimal solutions of adiabatic temperature rise,which is the major impact on the adiabatic temperature rise of mass concrete,i.e.,the unit mass of cement the final heat Q0 and the real constant n.Based on the actual measurement of environmental parameters and inversion results,we establish the three-dimensional finite element heat-transfer model of ANSYS .Comparing the results of numerical simulation and measured data,we know that the temperature field of hydration heat aging model can accurately simulate the engineering practice more.The results of time-varying temperature field and temperature variation show that the mass concrete layered construction peak temperature is related to the thick and pouring interval,and not necessarily occurs in the center of each layer;The development of temperature peak duration curves is similar to the temperature difference duration curve,thus it may serve as reference for the node time of temperature controlling.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the factors influencing the navigation environmental the bridge navigable waters,we construct the indices system for the risk assessment of the bridge navigable waters.Based on the fuzzy theory,we build a comprehensive environmental risk assessment model for the bridge navigable waters using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP),and carry out a comprehensive risk assessment on the navigation environment of Shanghai-Nantong railway Yangtze River Bridge The result indicates the degree of risks and index factors in dangerous condition,and may serve as reference for the maritime administrative department to improve the navigation condition and maritime administration for the bridge waters.

Abstract:To counter the problem of the numbers and high maintenance cost of water release gate of Dadingzishan navigation-power junction in winter,we carry out stress detection on water release radial gate in the freezing period.By analyzing the stress data obtained,we confirm that the water release radial gate which bears ice load directly does not produce significant deformation.The result provides a data support for the non-measure over-winter practice of the water release gate of Dadingzishan navigation-power junction.

Abstract:This article makes a comparative research on the advantage and disadvantage of the calculating method for the bearing capacity of open-ended tubular pile between Code for Pile Foundation of Harbor Engineering and API RP 2A WSD.Three-dimensional finite element models of pile foundation are built to calculate and compare by finite element software ANSYS according to the traditional method widely adopted now and the hyperbolic model of load transfer method respectively.The result indicates that the latter is more accurate and reasonable,and has a wider range of application.

Abstract:For the treatment technique of shallow ultra-soft soil foundation formed by hydraulic reclamation,the ground settlement is not strictly controlled,so the existing unloading criterion does not apply to such foundations.In view of this,the unloading criterion is established by theoretical methods for the treatment technique of shallow ultra-soft soil foundation formed by hydraulic reclamation.Then it is demonstrated in engineering practice that the theoretical criterion is one of the effective complement methods for the existing unloading criterion.

Abstract:To solve the pile upper structure’s integrity testing problem,the double-velocity test method is brought about.Firstly,we describe the basic principles and methods of double-velocity test method;Secondly,based on the double-velocity test on the laboratory cap pile model,we analyze the feasibility of the method,and form a set of double-velocity testing technique including tapping mode selection,reasonable arrangement between tapping point and the sensor,between the sensor and the sensor and between tapping point and pile-caps interface;At last,by actual field testing,we prove that the set of double-velocity test techniques can be used on the pile with the upper structure integrity testing,and after the directional filtering,the up going wave is clear,so it is accurate to determine the location and size of the defect.

Abstract:In the large area enclosed land reclamation project,with the development of construction technology,the use of dredged sludge as filler gets a lot of applications.But the corresponding settlement calculation can not meet the actual needs,and the estimated settlement amount only by virtue of experience.Using the two-phase of saturated soil’s water and soil properties,we calculate further the amount of soil subsidence and obtain the settlement formula by calculating the change in the moisture content of the soil before and after reinforcement,which is validated by actual project’s settlement monitoring data.

Abstract:The construction process of the cutter suction dredger will be stopped by the blockage of stone frequently,and the best way at present is to install anti-stone device in the cutter head.But there is no national standard for it.Different companies have developed different types of anti-rock devices,and there has been no quantitatively way to assess the impact of these devices on the suction capacity of the cutter suction dredger.This paper summarizes the form of commonly used anti-rock devices,uses CFD method to simulate the different flow field around the suction port between with and without installation of anti-rock devices,computes the hydraulic losses of the dredger when using different anti-rock devices,and determines the coefficients of hydraulic loss of different anti-rock devices.The result shows that the hydraulic loss of net anti-rock device and double ring anti-rock device is larger,and that of ring anti-rock device and staggered anti-rock device is the least.It provides the basic data for the selection of anti-rock devices.

Abstract:Under the situation that general sand-blowing vessel can not work in the extreme conditions of the heavy swell and long distance in Aojiangkou project,Wenzhou,we take the measures of remolding the sand-blowing barge,constructing onshore sand store coordinated with mud pump,high-pressure flush water and relay pump station etc.to fill the on-belt sand into bags and carry them to the sand store at the distance of 1 500 m,which overcomes the hardship of long-distance filling bags and achieves a great breakthrough.It may serve as reference for the filling-bag construction in the coastal areas with similar work conditions in China.

Abstract:This paper studies the discrimination indices on the ball clay,and analyzes the advantages and defects of the existing indices.Collecting the physical and mechanical indices of the ball clay from the recent years’waterway dredging engineering of TDC,this paper analyzes the data by correlation,variance analysis,and comparative statistics.Combining with the engineering practice of TDC,this paper sums up some indices on the ball clay,based on which,the discrimination indices,which shows the applicability in a certain range,is verified with the measured values.
