Abstract:The project of Berth 11 in Shimen'ao operation area of Xiuyu port area in Meizhou Bay Port,is a project constructing a 100,000 DWT bulk and general cargo wharf with relevant supporting facilities. The wharf is a high-piled beam-slab structure, which requires high foundation bearing capacity. In response to the geological condition of the lower part of the wharf foundation which is extremely soft rock,post-grouting technology is adopted at the pile toe of large-diameter cast-in-place piles, the static load test results of non-grouting and post-grouting cast-in-place piles is compared. The results show that the post-grouting pile can effectively improve the vertical bearing capacity of single pile, control the settlement of wharf, reduce the depth of foundation pile, shorten the project construction period, save the project cost, and has significant economic and social benefits.
