In recent years，Beibu Gulf Port container transportation has developed rapidly，but there are still problems such as insufficient scale level，the structure of foreign trade routes to be optimized，and the limited service capacity for the new western land-sea corridor. The analysis of the development strategy of container transport in Beibu Gulf Port is conducive to improving its development level and promoting it to better serve the national strategy of new western land-sea corridor.On the basis of combing the current situation of container transportation in Beibu Gulf Port，this paper analyzes the advantages，disadvantages，opportunities and challenges by using SWOT method，and puts forward strategic suggestions such as accelerating infrastructure construction，improving the berth structure of container terminals，vigorously opening liner routes，and strengthening the expansion of cargo sources，which will have a reference effect on the development of container transportation of Beibu Gulf Port.
