Abstract:The rapid pile sinking is a common event during the pile foundation construction, especially at the thick soft soil layer overburden.The problem cannot be solved by the conventional measures such as reducing the weight of pile shaft or the weight of hammer.Combining with the engineering example, we analyze the production mechanism of the rapid pile sinking, innovatively adopt the improvement measure of the pile driver hammer cage, and test the pile sinking quality.The results show that the improved pile driver hammer cage is used when the rapid sinking occurs during the pile foundation construction at thick soft soil layer overburden, the pile is intact, the pile tip can reach the design elevation, bearing capacity of pile can satisfy the design requirements and the quality of pile driving can be guaranteed.The measure is useful.
