Taking the livestock entry project set up in Zhoushan sea area as an example,we expound the general layout and handling technology of the entry,isolation and slaughtering of the livestock project and analyze the key points of water area layout of the specialized livestock port project. According to the construction conditions of the port site,characteristics of the livestock ship type and loading-unloading process requirements of the live cattle,we determine comprehensively the plane shape of the port,the position of the front line of the port,the scale of the working platform,as well as the section layout of the approach bridge.
