Based on the development of information management technology and the present situation of fault management for the Three Gorges ship lift,we analyze the problems existing in the current fault management system,such as cumbersome information acquisition procedures,poor information sharing,poor data security and secrecy function,complex information retrieval,poor data classification,statistics and analysis effect.To meet the main requirements of statistics,information retrieval and fault tracking,we propose a fault information management system based on local area network,which can implement multi-cycle and multi-dimensional statistical analysis of fault information. The application of information system in fault management of ship lift lays a basis for the intelligent operation management system.
