Abstract:The development of global shipping creates a transit port,which serves the surrounding areas and ocean transportation in the form of transshipment goods.They occupy an important position in the global trade and transportation system,and have formed a distinct characteristic pattern.On the basis of the forming factors and classification studies of the transfer port,we summarize the development pattern and characteristics of the global transit port,and probe into the development trend of the future transfer port in different regions.The research shows that the current global shipping pattern focuses on the Asia-Pacific region,the international transit ports mainly distribute in the Far East-Western Europe-North America main routes,and the key location is easy to lead to the emergence of transit ports.At the same time,the future development of regional transit ports will change with the deepening development of economic globalization and international trade,and will be affected significantly by the enlargement of ships,soft service environment,etc.
