Abstract:In consideration of the complexity of wave movement from near reef terrain and the difficulty of breakwater’s design near this kind of terrain,a project near the reef terrain and related seabed terrain is simulated,and the stability of breakwater’s toe rock is verified by physical model test.The test results show that it is dangerous to calculate the weight for stability of toe stones on reef terrain according to the codes.Based on the experimental phenomena and results,the optimum design of breakwater toe grooving on reef terrain is proposed.
