Abstract:The fluvial process of Damazhou waterway is mainly affected by inflow conditions and shoreline changes of crucial river beaches,and adverse channel changes occurred recently.The channel regulation project already implemented aiming at the above problem has achieved expected regulation results but there are still problems such as lagged regulation timing,the lack of key parts of the project,and the insufficiency of dynamic design adjustment.In the follow-up waterway regulation and maintenance work,a tracking observation and analysis mechanism should be established to accurately grasp the latest channel conditions timely,and numerical and physical modeling techniques should be adopted to predict subsequent changes and to implement timely or to adjust dynamically channel regulation engineering measures.
