With development of water transport sector,the abrasion of fixed bottom pivots on traditional miter gates is exposed gradually.Therefore,the layout and design are of great importance to fixed bottom pivots.By analyzing the limitations of the traditional fixed bottom hinges of miter gate,the design is advised to improve from three aspects:structural improvement,lubrication system and selection of friction pair material.Compared with the traditional fixed bottom hinges,the improved structure is convenient for replacement during maintenance,prolongs service life and improves structural reliability.It is worthy of promotion and application on the lock project.
