PIANC proposed the calculation of the depth of wave richness in the harbor basin and channel from the analysis of six influencing factors including ship class,ship loading degree,water depth,wave height,wave direction and navigation speed.Aiming at the depth of wave richness at the front of the wharf,PIANC's calculation method of wave richness was introduced.In addition,the adaptability of PIANC’s calculation method for the depth of wave wealth at the wharf's front edge is analyzed in detail,and the vertical motion of ships caused by long period waves is briefly discussed.This paper focuses on the simplification of the PIANC calculation method and the comparative analysis with the Chinese code,and provides suggestions on the wave response allowance alongside jetty apron coefficient K0 after the simplification of the PIANC calculation method,providing reference for the engineering design.
