Fractal analysis of the seawall(earth rock dam)during the fluctuation of the water level

    Abstract:

    Seepage problem is always a problem that confused the development of hydraulic structures.With the using years of the building and the change of the environment,seepage often occurs in the dikes and earth-rock dams.We use finite element software for simulated under different water level dams seepage parameter changes,and bring fractal theory to analysis the seepage data.We analyze the box dimension of total head fractal H,seepage pressure P and seepage flow v,and apply the Matlab program to calculate the relation curve of corresponding to different fractal dimension.The results show that the total head fractal dimension DH,seepage pressure fractal dimension DP and seepage flow fractal dimension Dv value changes with the change of water level,and the fractal dimension value changing with water head is proportional to the water level fluctuation obviously.It is a scientifically feasible,simple and accurate method to use several fractal values to indicate the flow factor.
