In the shoal reclamation project,due to the restriction of long distance and shallow water,the cutter suction dredger can’t take its full advantages in the construction efficiency,schedule and cost.Taking the land reclamation engineering of Tieshan Port in Beihai for example,and based on the research and practice on the feasibility of the joint construction by sand-blowing vessel,we draw the conclusion that the joint construction by the octopus ship and conveyor ship is applicable to the shoal reclamation.The method,process and key points control are expounded.
