    Abstract:

A 52.5 m-length and 1.0 m-diameter steel tube pile is driven into soft soil foundation.According to the pile pressing experiment, pile pulling experiment and pile horizontal static load experiment,we discuss the engineering properties and distribution law of steel tube pile in soft soil foundation. The results show that the maximum bending moment of the horizontal static load experiment of the steel tube pile in the soft soil foundation is at 2 times the pile diameter below the mud surface, and does not change with the increase of the load.According to the horizontal static load experiment result, the m value should be 3 500 kN/m4 considering the displacement of mud level to be 10 mm.The side resistance of soft soil foundation is small,so the ratio of the axial force to the pile top is 30% in the pressing pile experiment, and it is about 12% in the pulling pile experiment.
