In view of the problem that the small craft harbor structure is rather flexible and its berthing load can not be calculated by the method used for the normal high-piled wharf,we provide a new method for the small craft harbor’s berthing load condition combining the theories of structural mechanics and energy conservation law and adopting the infinite element method,which considers that the structure and the fender absorb the berthing energy together.The results show that this method is reasonable.
