Abstract:To counter the difficulties in the integral demolition works of high-pile wharf for wharf reconstruction and extension engineering of Port of Panama Colon Container Terminal (CCT)Phase III Stage 2 Project,such as difficult transnational dispatching of construction ships,tight project schedule,low efficiency and high risk of the traditional underwater pile cutting technique,etc.,this paper carries out a comparative study on various demolition techniques.Through the improvement of the traditional wire saw guide frame and the successful application of the new-type hydraulic cutter in pile cutting works,a complete set of techniques applicable to on-land demolition works for high-pile wharf forms,which provides a new idea and new technology for the extension project of high-pile wharf,especially for pile foundation demolition works.It also offers reference for similar projects.
