In the dredging construction area with a lot of stones,blocking drag head and mud pump happen frequently for the trailing suction hopper dredger.So,we carry out an experimental research on various kinds of stone-defending grilles.The result shows that the wire rope grille is most suitable for the stony area,because it can reduce greatly the risk of blocking drag head and improve the production efficiency and shorten the construction period.
