To provide a basic support for the channel regulations of Zhoutian river in the middle reach of the Yangtze River,this paper researches the fluvial processes and navigation-obstructing characteristics.Based on the existing research result,this paper analyzes the real-measured data,studies the river evolution,waterway problems and navigation-obstructing characteristics,and predicts the trends of river evolution and channel conditions.According to the waterway regulation target,the general regulation idea is proposed.
