Based on the selection of twin 40 ft spreader’s headblock system in automatic container terminal,we study the dual hoist and single hoist type of quayside container crane(QC),and analyze the practical data of the usage of dual hoist QC,compare the structure and performance of three main headblock systems in twin 40 ft container spreader.It is preferable to use single hoist dual spreader structure in Yangshan port’s twin 40 ft container QC.
