Abstract:There are three main navigation hindering areas in Jiulongtan shoal reaches of the Yangtze River,which are Guguqi,Jiaobatan and Sanjiaoqi.On the basis of navigation hindering cause analysis and combining the target and principle of waterway regulation,we propose the regulation schemes.The 2-D flow and sediment mathematical model is applied to investigate the regulation effects of different schemes.According to the flow conditions and sediment erosion and deposition characteristics of the typical year,we compare and optimize the waterway regulation schemes,and then propose the recommended one.Using the flow and sediment series data of year 2002 to 2011,we study the laws of long-term channel sedimentation,the results of which show that after implementation of the recommended scheme,the channel scale meets the design requirements and can remain stable,which indicates that the regulation effect is remarkable and has achieved the expected goal.
