Combining with actual characteristics of Chinese ports,we discuss the connotation and features of green and low-carbon port,establish an evaluation index system including four categories of indexes,i.e.comprehensive indexes,systematic indexes,managerial indexes and characteristic indices,and propose a set of simple and practical evaluation methods and standards.Taking Guangzhou port as a study case,we carry out an empirical evaluation of current development level in 2013 and planning level in 2016 and 2020 respectively,the scientific validity of which is verified.
