According to the measured water level and wave height during typhoon period, we study the characteristics of set-up induced by storm surge, analyze the relativity between storm surge water level and wave height using probability and statistical methods, and establish the combined distribution between set-up and wave height. A calculation method is provided to consider the combination effects of set-up by storm surges and wave height during typhoon period.
