As a new river bank protection and dike reinforcement structure, the active ground consolidator has been applied to some engineering projects for the novel type of construction, favorable integrality and outstanding effect in energy dissipation. The study on the basic structural characteristics of the GCs will provide the fundamental theoretical basis for the research on the hydrodynamic characteristics.
