This article discusses the design and construction technology of diaphragm wall structure & cofferdam in Hambantota port, esp. the whole process of marine port formation through basin excavation and pier building. The successful application of diaphragm wall structure & cofferdam to form the dry construction condition reveals that dry construction is feasible to the construction of marine port.
