To support the design of 12.5m deepwater channel construction phase I project downstream Nanjing, Taicang-Nanjing section, we present an analysis of the channel arrangement of the section. Based on the construction standard, natural conditions, channel arrangement principles, navigation requirements and environment, a reasonable arrangement scheme is put forward along with detailed channel axis layout, directions and turning angles. The relationship between the arrangement and ships’ routeing system are also analyzed.
