    Abstract:

    This paper discusses a scientific model for predicting the service life of concrete exposed to acid environment by researching the deteriorating law, and accelerating test for concrete deterioration in acidic environment.There are three ways used for predicting the service life of concrete exposed to acid environment: (1) based on grey system, predicting the law of strength change by GM(1,1); (2) based on Arrhenius’s theorem, predicting the service life of concrete by the law of strength change; (3) based on the law of corrosion depth tested in the concrete exposed to acid environment,predicting the service life of concrete. Results show that the prediction model based on grey system or Arrhenius’s theorem is feasible for predicting service-life of concrete subjected to acid corrosion; Moreover, this paper puts forward the idea of comprehensively analyzing the service life of concrete combined with the law of corrosion depth.
