    Abstract:

    Construction spoil generally occupies a lot of land and leads to environmental pollution and waste of resources, hence the appropriate treatment and application of it as a part of structures not only saves investment, but also is helpful to the environmental protection. Based on geogrid reinforced retaining wall and failure mode of reinforcement theory, we put forward a new idea in the design of reinforced earth retaining wall of water transport project, and carry out a computation of the structure, considering especially the soaking conditions. The results show that the new retaining wall structure is safe, reliable, and suitable for the weak ground and regions lack of backfill.
