A lot of dredged materials are produced in the Yangtze estuary deepwater channel dredging project. Meanwhile, a large quantity of filled materials is needed in Hengsha east shoal reclamation projects. So the combination of the projects can not only overcome the shortage of filled materials, but also make the beneficial use of dredged materials. It is a win-win situation. Based on the relative design principles, this paper gives two examples, i.e. Hengsha reclamation project phase 芋and phase 遇. Moreover, some suggestions are given on the further applications in the future.
