    Abstract:

    Based on the Xiangjiang Tugutang hydro-junction project, we introduce the improvement measure of flow conditions at the entrance of lower approach channel in the narrow continuous meandering river by the diversion pier. According to the observed data and current phenomenon, we analyze the influences of arrangement types and layout angles of diversion piers on the hydraulic parameters such as the angle of inclined flow at the entrance area, transverse velocity and reflux, etc., and summarize the improvement laws of flow conditions at the entrance of lower approach channel in the narrow continuous meandering river by the diversion pier.
