Based on the analysis of the bed evolution of Luxikou waterway on middle reaches of the Yangtze River, we studied the implementation possibility and engineering effect of Zhigang entrance dredge-cut engineering through the model test. The results show that the dredge-cut project designed in Zhigang entrance can’t prevent the obstruction to navigation in the low water period, and it is more difficult to attain the aim of changing it to the main channel.
