Seismic response analysis of high-pile wharf

    Abstract:

    In order to research the safety reliability of high-pile wharf in highly seismic region, fast Lagrangian analysis of continua was used for seismic time history analysis and the FLAC3D software was adopted for numerical calculation. The result indicates that the high-pile wharf generates small residual horizontal and vertical displacement; the normal stress amplitude of platform's longitudinal beam and transverse beam waves up and down, but the extreme values are all within the range of allowable strength; and the axial forces of PHC piles also have a great change but all are smaller than the bearing capacity of the PHC piles. In the sight of the stiffness and intensity of the high-pile wharf, it is safe and reliable.
