Abstract:In view of the problem that currently the bearing capacity of pile foundation calculated by different national codes for overseas terminal projects has certain differences,we carry out a comparative analysis of the values of soil layer parameters and safety factors for Chinese,American,European and New Zealand codes, and obtain the stratum conditions and value recommendations applicable to the calculation of pile foundation bearing capacity in each code.Taking a pier in Lae Port of Papua New Guinea as an example,we compare the calculation results of the axial compressive bearing capacity of a single pile calculated by Chinese and foreign codes. The results show that when the beating counts of standard penetration test of the sand layer are few,and the pile-side resistance calculated by the European code is more conservative. In the sand layer, the pile-end resistance calculated by the New Zealand code is the safest.
