Abstract:Aiming at the problem of the over-limit of the length deformation of the UTM projection coordinates in the application of overseas project,we discuss the definition of UTM coordinates and its difference with common Gaussian coordinates in China,make a profound study on the principle,mathematical model and quantitative analysis of the deformation of the UTM coordinate projection,propose two methods of effectively eliminating the projection and deformation of the UTM coordinates,and verify them by several overseas engineering examples.The results show that these methods can effectively eliminate the length deformation,satisfy the requirements of survey specification and the needs of overseas construction.
