The analysis of the development prospect of gateway ports for the hinterland of landlocked countries in Africa is unique to some extent.We need to consider multiple essential factors such as location condition,geopolitics,political stability,competition situation,distribution of transportation demand of the landlocked countries,etc.,and it is different from the general research on competition and development prospect of ports in China.This article elaborates the research thinking of prospects of the gateway ports for the hinterland of landlocked countries in Africa,combs the essential factors involved,and analyzes the development prospect of some certain gateway ports with relevant case,which may serve as reference for similar consulting projects and the study of investment opportunities in relevant overseas ports in the future.
