Abstract:For oil terminals with multiple berths, the back-to-back layout and shared working platforms can reduce the repeated construction of mooring dolphins, breasting dolphins & working platforms,so as to maximize the use of plane space and significantly reduce the project cost.Taking the project KOT oil terminal in Mombasa,Kenya as a study case,we discuss the site selection, layout form of the terminal, arrangement of the shared platform, mooring arrangement, etc.,and provide reference for similar projects.
